At Promat we have taken the necessary protective measures - in compliance with international and local regulation - in order to limit the spread of the Covid-19 virus and to ensure the wellbeing of our colleagues, their families, our customers and business partners. Travel ban, hygienic measures and remote workspaces
Since a couple of weeks our organisation has put in place a complete travel ban for all its employees across the globe. In all our office-based locations and factories we are applying very strict hygienic guidelines and have taken the necessary precautions to ensure our staff’s and third parties’ health and safety. We have also foreseen remote workspaces for all non-essential office and factory staff to ensure business continuity.

Supporting healthcare professionals
At Promat (an Etex brand) we care about our employees but also about the world around us. Following the request from hospitals for help to supply protective masks, our Microtherm production site in Sint-Niklaas, Belgium, joined forces with Van de Velde - a Belgian manufacturer of bodywear - to produce mouth masks.
While the sterile fabric is supplied by the hospitals, the colleagues of Microtherm are in charge of cutting the sterile materials following an approved pattern. The team of Van de Velde seamstresses started to produce the first masks at a fast pace. Transport company JetCar offered their services for free to bring the finished masks to the hospitals. Kearny consultancy also participates by coordinating the action. "With this great example of one of our three values Connect & Care, it is heart-warming to see how challenging times bring out the best in people and how teams and businesses come together as one with creative solutions to make a difference," says Steven Heytens, Head of Etex Industry.
