The main Tisselt, Belgium factory of Promat has inaugurated a new unloading and storage facility that improves the shipping of raw materials. The new facility requires an investment by Promat, together with Sibelco, of more than €500,000.
From now on, 10,000 tons of sand will be transported by ship from the Mol quarry to the Tisselt factory, effectively replacing more then 350 trucks. Similarly, more than 60% of raw materials required for production is delivered by ship.

Similarly, more than 60% of raw materials required for production is delivered by ship. All materials included, Promat typically keeps more than 3,500 trucks on the road.
The new unloading and storage facility is therefore a very good example of investing in the fundamental principles of business sustainability.
