JKR Specification for Structural Steel Protection Online Sharing Session

As part of our regular efforts in knowledge sharing, we worked closely with the local public authorities, such as the Malaysian Public Works Department (JKR). We were fortunate to be invited to have such a session with Jabatan Kerja Raya on 13th September 2021 for a sharing session. The session was a huge success with the collaboration with the JKR’s civil & structural engineering branch. The topic of various forms of structural steel protection was shared. As Promat possesses approvals for all mediums of structural steel fire protection; spray applied, intumescent paint, and fire protective board enclosure, we are glad that JKR is open to adopting some of the suggested specifications for the structural steelworks.

The Malaysian Public Works Department (Jabatan Kerja Raya Malaysia) is the federal government department in Malaysia under the Ministry of Works Malaysia, which is responsible for the construction and maintenance of public infrastructure in Malaysia.
