MTR Shatin to Central Link (SCL)

The route length of Shatin to Central Link (SCL) is around 17 kilometers and divides into two sections, the Tai Wai to Hung Hom section and the cross harbour section. The Tai Wai to Hung Hom section is around 11 kilometers. It is an extension of the Ma On Shan Line from Tai Wai via Hin Keng, Diamond Hill, Kai Tak, To Kwa Wan, Ma Tau Wai, Ho Man Tin to Hung Hom. The cross harbour section is around 6 kilometers. It extends from the existing East Rail Line from Hung Hom to Admiralty with one intermediate station at Exhibition.

Contract 1109 comprises the construction of two stations, Sung Wong Toi station (by cut and cover) and To Kwa Wan station (by top-down method), as well as 1,600 metres of running tunnels to be constructed by Tunnel Boring Machine, and is located in a dense urban area.

Cafco SPRAYFILM^® WB3 has been applied for 2 hours FRP Structural Steel Protection System and there are over 600 drums (15,000kg) WB3 were delivery for this project.

The project will commence in November 2012 with completion scheduled for early of 2019.
