DURASTEEL® Testing and Certification

DURASTEEL® Certification
Promat endorses the use of third party accreditation bodies such as CERTIFIRE for products and FIRAS for installation contractors. Credibility given by such authorities gives the whole marketplace confidence in not only the product, but also the installation. DURASTEEL® certification includes the following.
CERTIFIRE: operated by Warrington Certification Ltd (WCL) assures performance, quality, reliability and traceability of fire protection products. Recognised by regulatory authorities worldwide, it is an internationally respected mark of fire safety and one of the most authoritative in the industry.
FIRAS Installer Certification Scheme: a voluntary, third party certification for installation contractors of both passive and active fire protection systems, operated by Warrington Certification Ltd (WCL), and accredited by UKAS to EN45011.
Certificated contractors are required to successfully complete a 3 stage assessment process covering:
- Assessment of office management systems.
- Assessment of workmanship of site for all trade disciplines for which certification is sought.
- Competence assessment of supervisory and installation employees.
- UL (Underwriters Laboratories) Design Certificate: UL provides the latest fire testing capabilities to the building products industry. Promat has a number of UL Design Certificates covering a variety of applications using boards and spray.
- Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB) Certificate: . LPCB has worked with industry and government for more than 100 years to set the standards needed to ensure that fire and security products and services perform effectively. LPCB certification provided by BRE Global Ltd, provides third-party approval, confirming that products and services have met and will continue to meet these standards.
- DNV.GL Certificate: classification and technical assurance to the maritime, oil and gas, and energy industries.
- Lloyd's Register Certificate: Type Approval from Lloyd’s Register demonstrates that your product conforms to recognised industry quality standards and/or the LR Rules, through a process of independent design review, sample testing and verification of production controls.
