Introduction
This information notice applies to individuals who agree to participate in Etex’s Pool of Testers as testers (“You”). Being a tester entails user testing for web applications conducted by (“Etex”), headquartered in Belgium. Participation in these tests is voluntary and subject to the conditions outlined herein.
What is Etex’s Pool of Testers?
A pool of individuals who have agreed to take part in testing for Etex’s web applications (“Pool of Testers”). From this pool, Etex will periodically choose to invite testers to participate in the user tests as described below.
Process of Testing
By enrolling to Etex’s Pool of Testers you agree to periodically be invited to participate in user tests. You will be contacted for potential participation in tests a maximum of once every six months to ensure a diverse and fair testing process. Participation in specific tests is voluntary, and you have the discretion to agree or decline based on the particulars of each test. If you decline a specific test, you still continue to be part of the Pool of Testers, and you will continue to receive further invitations. You can request to be removed from the Pool of Testers at any point in time by contacting usertesting@etexgroup.com.
Types of User Tests
Testers may be invited via email to participate in various types of tests, including but not limited to feature discovery, usability, and functionality testing of websites and/or web applications.

These tests can take from 5 minutes to one hour, depending on the objective of the tests. The specific nature and requirements of each test will be communicated to the testers at the time of recruitment for a specific project.
The tests will be conducted directly by Etex, or alternatively by an external service provider engaged specifically to perform a test on Etex’s behalf in full compliance with data protection laws as explained in Section H of the Privacy Policy (see Annex).
Reward
You will receive an incentive, such as a voucher, proportionate to the time invested in testing. The specifics of this incentive will be communicated to you prior to each test. The process for redeeming rewards will respect the privacy and data security of the testers.

Your personal data will be processed in line with the Privacy Policy that can be found below in Annex to this Notice.
Duration of Tester Status
Unless you request to be removed from it sooner, you will be part of the Pool of Testers for a duration of 24 months. One month prior to the end of this period, Etex will contact you asking if you wish to continue to be a part of the Pool of Testers, in which case you will be included in the Pool of Testers for an additional 24 months. If you wish to no longer be part of the Pool of Testers at any point in time, please send an email stating so to usertesting@etexgroup.com and you will be removed from the Pool of Testers.
Use of Company Information
If you are asked to provide your company name, it will be used solely for the purpose of correctly assigning the costs of the incentives and to ensure the correct selection of testers for specific testing projects.

Annex Privacy Policy (A) This Notice

This notice is issued by on behalf of itself, its subsidiaries and its affiliates
(together, “Etex Services NV”, “we”, “us” and “our”) and is addressed to individuals outside our organisation with whom we interact, including customers, visitors to our Sites, and other users of our products or services (together, “you”). Defined terms used in this Notice are explained in Section (S) below.
For the purposes of this Notice, Etex Services NV is the Controller. Contact details are provided in Section (R) below.
This Notice may be amended or updated from time to time to reflect changes in our practices with respect to the Processing of Personal Data, or changes in applicable law. We encourage you to read this Notice carefully, and to regularly check this page to review any changes we might make in accordance with the terms of this Notice.

Summary: We may collect or obtain Personal Data about you: directly from you (e.g., where you contact us); in the course of our relationship with you (e.g., if you make a purchase); when you make your Personal Data public (e.g., if you make a public post about us on social media); when you visit our Sites; when you register to use any of our Sites, products, or services; or when you interact with any third party content or advertising on a Site. We may also receive Personal Data about you from third parties (e.g., law enforcement authorities).

Summary: We may Process: your personal details (e.g., your name); demographic data (e.g., your age); your contact details (e.g., your address); records of your consents; purchase details; payment details (e.g., your billing address); information about our Sites (e.g., the type of device you are using); details of your employer (where relevant); information about your interactions with our content or advertising; and any views or opinions you provide to us.
We may Process the following categories of Personal Data about you:
(E) Lawful basis for Processing Personal Data
Summary: We may Process your Personal Data where: you have given your prior, express consent; the Processing is necessary for a contract between you and us; the Processing is required by applicable law; the Processing is necessary to protect the vital interests of any individual; or where we have a valid legitimate interest in the Processing.
In Processing your Personal Data in connection with the purposes set out in this Notice, we may rely on one or more of the following legal bases, depending on the circumstances:
(F) Sensitive Personal Data
Summary: We do not seek to collect or otherwise Process your Sensitive Personal Data. Where we need to Process your Sensitive Personal Data for a legitimate purpose, we do so in accordance with applicable law.
We do not seek to collect or otherwise Process your Sensitive Personal Data in the ordinary course of our business. Where it becomes necessary to process your Sensitive Personal Data for any reason, we rely on one of the following legal bases:
(G) Purposes for which we may Process your Personal Data
Summary: We may Process your Personal Data for the following purposes: providing products and services to you; operating our Sites; communicating with you; managing our IT systems; health and safety; financial management; conducting surveys; ensuring the security of our premises and systems; conducting investigations where necessary; compliance with applicable law; and improving our Sites, products and services.
We may process your personal data for the following purposes, subject to applicable law:
(H) Disclosure of Personal Data to third parties
Summary: We may disclose your Personal Data to: legal and regulatory authorities; our external advisors; our Processors; any party as necessary in connection with legal proceedings; any party as necessary for investigating, detecting or preventing criminal offences; any purchaser of our business; and any third party providers of advertising, plugins or content used on our Sites.
We may disclose your Personal Data to other entities within the Etex group, for legitimate business purposes (including operating our Sites, and providing products and services to you), in accordance with applicable law. In addition, we may disclose your Personal Data to:
Personal Data may be shared with the relevant third party provider. We recommend that you review that third party’s privacy policy before interacting with its advertising, plugins or content.
If we engage a third-party Processor to Process your Personal Data, the Processor will be subject to binding contractual obligations to: (i) only Process the Personal Data in accordance with our prior written instructions; and (ii) use measures to protect the confidentiality and security of the Personal Data; together with any additional requirements under applicable law.
(I) International transfer of Personal Data
Summary: We may transfer your Personal Data to recipients in other countries. Where we transfer Personal Data from the EEA to a recipient outside the EEA that is not in an Adequate Jurisdiction, we do so on the basis of Standard Contractual Clauses.
Because of the international nature of our business, we may need to transfer your Personal Data
within the Etex group, and to third parties as noted in Section (H) above, in connection with the
purposes set out in this Notice. For this reason, we may transfer your Personal Data to other
countries that may have different laws and data protection compliance requirements to those that apply in the country in which you are located.
Where we transfer your Personal Data from the EEA to recipients located outside the EEA who are not in Adequate Jurisdictions, we do so on the basis of Standard Contractual Clauses. You may request a copy of our [Standard Contractual Clauses] using the contact details provided in Section (R) below.
Please note that when you transfer any Personal Data directly to an Etex entity established outside the EEA, we are not responsible for that transfer of your Personal Data. We will nevertheless Process your Personal Data, from the point at which we receive those data, in accordance with the provisions of this Privacy Policy.
(J) Data security
Summary: We implement appropriate technical and organisational security measures protect your Personal Data. Please ensure that any Personal Data that you send to us are sent securely.
We have implemented appropriate technical and organisational security measures designed to protect your Personal Data against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorised disclosure, unauthorised access, and other unlawful or unauthorised forms of Processing, in accordance with applicable law.
Because the internet is an open system, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will implement all reasonable measures to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to us using the internet – any such transmission is at your own risk and you are responsible for ensuring that any Personal Data that you send to us are sent securely.
(K) Data accuracy
Summary: We take every reasonable step to ensure that your Personal Data are kept accurate and up-to-date and are erased or rectified if we become aware of inaccuracies.

Summary: We take every reasonable step to limit the volume of your Personal Data that we Process to what is necessary.
